Job Description:  

INT, the leading upstream data visualization software company based in Houston, seeks an experienced Technical Writer to update documentation on an ad hoc basis. Documentation includes user manuals, release updates, and white papers as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtaining a thorough understanding of INT’s products in order to develop concise and engaging documentation for our clients
  • Ensuring proper version control of all applicable content
  • Reviewing tickets post-sprint to ensure all changes are documented 
  • Partnering with the software development team to stay on top of upcoming updates
  • Coordinating reviews with subject matter experts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; i.e. English or Communications
  •  3-5  years of Technical Writing experience; preferably in the Oil and Gas industry

Skills: 

  • Exceptional English writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop product understanding by working closely with product developers in an Agile development environment
  • Ability to design and organize document structure
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Understanding of accepted technical writing style conventions
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to design and organize document structure
  • Experience with Visual Studio, WebStorm, or other IDE platforms
  • Familiar with source control systems such as Git
