Network Technologies, Inc. and IndigoPool.com Collaborate
to Bring Increased
Functionality to Interactive Software
for Evaluation of A&D Assets
Houston, TX (May 3,
2001):
IndigoPool.com
(www.indigopool.com), a Schlumberger
company, today announced the addition of best-in-class seismic and log
data visualization technology to its robust set of Internet tools. IndigoPool
teamed with Interactive Network Technologies (INT) to build additional
functionality and flexibility into Log Viewer** and Seismic Viewer**
- INT's interactive data viewing software packages. This new offering
will allow registered site users to find and dynamically view actual
data (not static images available with many other packages) improving
the quality of their online evaluation of acquisition & divestiture
(A&D) properties.
The viewing tools bring
modern geoscience techniques to the user's desktop without the need for complex
application installation or maintenance. With Log Viewer, users have support for
multiple wells display; cross plot capabilities; and basic evaluation functionalities
such as area curve filling, lithology presentation, annotation and well marker
interactors, and zooming. They can also select from a variety of predefined templates
covering simple and composite displays in single and multi-well modes. Seismic
Viewer provides full support of SegY format, wiggle and interpolated color density
display, user-defined color maps, histograms, and zooming capabilities. With interactive
data viewing, users have more flexibility to analyze data, creating greater value
for data room/data book vendors.
"The
Schlumberger organization has a long-standing, close working relationship with
INT and has used their technology for many years," said IndigoPool president Dan
Magyar, "so we were pleased to have the opportunity to collaborate on the enhancement
of their data and seismic visualization technology. With access to these tools
on their desktops, IndigoPool customers will be able to perform more thorough
evaluations, enabling them to make better decisions. We're very pleased to be
first to market with the enhanced versions of these tools and anticipate that
industry will embrace them when they become commercially available."
"It's
a natural fit for us to collaborate with IndigoPool.com," according to INT president
Olivier Lhemann. "They bring industry expertise, proven e-commerce platform, and
a strong position in the marketplace. Working together, we made our seismic and
log viewer tools even more powerful. In addition, the IndigoPool.com e-marketplace
provides a new channel for us to rapidly get these tools to a global audience.
We plan to continue our work with IndigoPool to develop more advanced features
and functionalities."
