INT and The Information Store Announced New Global Alliance

HOUSTON, TX; LONDON UK; STAVANGER, NORWAY (January 28, 1998): Interactive Network Technologies, Inc. (INT) and The Information Store (Store) are pleased to announce the formation of a global alliance for providing business solutions, technology and service to the upstream petroleum industry. INT and the Store provide upstream petroleum business expertise, business process improvement and technology in the form of data management, data access, data visualization, Internet/Intranet components and applications such as Carnacä and PetroTrekä . By teaming together, INT and the Store will provide complete business and technical solutions to the upstream petroleum industry faster and more cost effectively.

Carnac is a core technology developed by INT that provides a powerful graphics toolkit bringing the next generation in flexible high-performance, cross-platform, multi-source graphics. With both C++ and Java API's, Carnac is a very powerful tool for developing graphics applications. As an illustration, INT uses Carnac to produce its GeoBeans visualization components. This library includes beans for seismic displays, logs, contours, maps, and XY-plots and will be used for the development of Java based E&P applications.

PetroTrek is a set of Internet and Intranet Java and C++ software modules developed by the Store that provide business solutions for seismic sales and trades, seismic program planning, well analysis, production analysis and data access independent of the data and the underlying computer technology. Seismic purchasing and well planning is new modules now under design and development.
