INT Releases GeoToolkit 3.1

Houston, TX (January 25, 2005): Interactive Network Technologies, Inc. (INT), a leading developer of high performance graphics components, announces availability of GeoToolkit 3.1.  Specifically designed for the upstream oil and gas industry, GeoToolkit™ is a C++ based library of visualization components that permit software engineers to fast-track development of exploration and production applications under Qt, Windows MFC or Unix Motif.  Providing capabilities to display seismic data, logs, basemaps, contours and XY-plots, GeoToolkit promotes reusability and consistency across applications and allows developers to focus on their core technologies rather than spend time writing data displays.

"This new release of GeoToolkit provides an unparallel environment for developing E&P cross-platform applications in Trolltech's Qt® environment. Since our components are now available as fully integrated Qt classes, our customers have access to all the power of the Qt environment, including integrated hardcopy output and support for Qt Designer" says Olivier Lhemann, president of INT.

Some of the highlights for this new release include:

  • Better integration with Qt Designer
  • New classes for windowless views for better integration and performance
  • New tool manager architecture for better support of complex user interactions
  • New interfaces for better toolkit interoperability
  • New general-purpose colorbar and axis components
  • New tutorials targeted for development in the Qt environment
